FourBlock welcomes Ross, the first woman to serve as sales chief of a broadcast network, to its board.
NEW YORK CITY – CBS Corporation President and Chief Advertising Revenue Officer Jo Ann Ross has been named to FourBlock’s Board of Directors.
“It is an honor to be named to FourBlock’s board of directors,” said Ross. “I deeply believe in the mission to ensure all veterans have the resources they need to transition to life and a new career back home. I also feel it is our duty to give back to the men and women who sacrifice so much for our country, and mentorship plays a key role in helping our returning troops to determine their next step in life. The FourBlock experience has had a meaningful impact on so many, and I am very proud to be a part of this great organization.”
Ross was the first woman to serve as a sales chief of a broadcast network and is the longest-running sales head in broadcast television. She’s held various sales roles at CBS over the last 25 years, before being promoted to her current position in August 2017. In this role, she is responsible for overseeing the company’s multiplatform advertising sales effort. Ross previously served as President, Network Sales, CBS Television Network since October 2002, responsible for overseeing all sales for CBS Entertainment, Sports, Daytime, News and Late Night.
The Hollywood Reported named Ross one of the “100 Most Powerful Women in Entertainment” and Variety included her on the list of powerful women in its 2018 Women’s Impact Report. Ross was inducted into the DTC Hall of Fame in 2015 and Broadcasting & Cable’s Hall of Fame in 2013.
