The Boeing Company Awards FourBlock $220,000 in Grants to Support Veteran and Military Spouse Programming

The two grants will support FourBlock’s Veteran and Military Spouse Career Readiness Programs in multiple locations across the country

(NEW YORK CITY) – The Boeing Company recently awarded FourBlock with two new grants to provide continued support for FourBlock’s Veteran and Military Spouse Career Readiness Programs during the 2022 – 2023 academic year.

A $150,000 grant from Boeing will support the Northeast – Virtual and Pacific Southwest – Virtual cohorts of FourBlock’s Veteran Career Readiness Program, with a focus on growing the organization’s presence in the greater Philadelphia region and statewide in Arizona.

A $70,000 grant from Boeing will support the Pacific Northwest – Virtual cohort of FourBlock’s Veteran Career Readiness Program and the Military Spouse Career Readiness Program. The funding comes as part of $1.6 million in grants to support military members, veterans and their families.

“We are honored to continue our work with Boeing to reach more service members with the resources and support they need to successfully transition into meaningful careers after military service,” said FourBlock Founder and President Michael Abrams. “We are deeply grateful for Boeing’s generous support and look forward to continuing to make an impact together on behalf of transitioning military service members, veterans and their families.”

FourBlock and Boeing have partnered together since 2018. Boeing has played a significant role in helping FourBlock to expand programming along the West Coast and in Washington, D.C. Additionally, the company’s support helped grow the Career Readiness Coach program, which connects working professionals with current FourBlock participants to provide them one-to-one guidance and feedback and to ensure that each veteran is on a path to success during their transition. Boeing has also hosted multiple class sessions for FourBlock’s Washington, D.C. and Philadelphia program cohorts.
