Top media corporation partners to continue innovative impact across America

(NEW YORK CITY) – News Corp has selected the FourBlock Foundation as one of its three 2017 Philanthropy Partners. News Corp is a global, diversified media and information services company focused on creating and distributing authoritative and engaging content to consumers throughout the world.

“News Corp is proud to call the FourBlock Foundation one of its Philanthropy Partners in 2017. With this important grant, we expand our commitment to supporting both education and veterans, ensuring that the brave men and women who helped keep us safe have the resources they need to find good jobs and have long and successful careers,” said Keisha Smith-Jeremie, News Corp’s Chief Human Resources Officer.

FourBlock was chosen from a pool of nonprofit organizations for having a proven track record of exceptional national impact through its innovative programs. As part of its partnership, News Corp has awarded FourBlock a grant in order to help grow FourBlock’s veteran career education programs into more cities and serve over 2,500 veterans annually.

FourBlock’s Career Readiness Program works to prepare transitioning veterans for today’s career landscape by providing career development education and industry exploration opportunities with top companies. This philosophy will carry over into the newfound partnership, as News Corp has also committed to hosting FourBlock classes for veterans in multiple locations across the country, adding to a growing list of corporate hosts.

“We couldn’t be more excited that News Corp is investing in the continued growth and development of our veteran career readiness program,” said FourBlock Founder and President Michael Abrams. “We look forward to working with News Corp to provide meaningful career education and opportunities for transitioning veterans to reach their potential.”

FourBlock is honored that News Corp is joining our community of partners dedicated to ensuring all returning service members reach their full potential upon transition.
