2 FourBlock Alum Selected for Washington Center’s Inaugural VET Initiative

The program provides participants with 10 weeks of real-world professional experience.

(NEW YORK CITY) – The Washington Center has selected two FourBlock alumni — Tom Sullivan and Victor Davis — for its inaugural Veteran Employment Trajectory (VET) Initiative cohort. Both Sullivan and Davis completed FourBlock’s Career Readiness Program last semester in Washington, D.C.

Only 25 student veterans from across the country were selected to be a part of the VET Initiative’s first cohort, which runs from May 24-August 5. The 10-week professional immersion program is designed to prepare participants for success in the civilian workforce.

The program is comprised of an internship (4 days per week) and a weekly professional advancement colloquium, which aims to enhance career advancement competencies specific to veteran strengths and challenges through coursework, workshops, career coaching, and mentoring.

Those who’ve been selected for the cohort will automatically receive a scholarship covering program fees, housing, and more (valued at over $14,000).
